i like it here club

We outfitted their latest collection-
Running Dear

Their Story:
"Born on one sunny coast and raised on the other, artist and metalsmith Jessie Yeager remembers looking for turquoise and other stones in with her grandparents in New Mexico, slowly collecting rocks and bits of stone, each one its own history, particular to the place where it was found. This storytelling continues in her work today, each dreamy jewel a small flare into the life of the maker and the wearer, a conversation starter, a way to connect. The materials of I Like It Here Club are chosen for their quality, and qualities: each piece promotes positivity and protection, adventure and reflection, daydreaming and night dreaming and clear, pure joy.

With delicate precision and heritage craft skills, Yeager creates pieces of jewelry that are both quiet, and comfortable, yet unique, inimitable stunners, showstoppers. I Like It Here Club is a bit like alchemy, transmuting the raw beauty of the earth into something truly magical.
She comes from a long line of artists who can change our way of looking at the world, too. The original I Like It Here Club was a morale boosting support group of soldiers begun by her grandfather, Super Fred, while he was interned at a Japanese POW camp during WWII after surviving capture in the Philippines and the Bataan Death March. He created the club out of the need to keep up the hopes of himself and his fellow prisoners. Incredibly, the club did help them endure their ordeal, and he was able to pass his warmth and bright world view on to Yeager, who named her line after it. She hopes it will inspire the wearer to stay positive, keep an open mind, and take another glance from a different point of view."
